Drilon leaves, from the water into a compost layer

The leaves that used to end up in the water are now the carbon feedstock of our layers.

A significant share of the area’s leaves used to be removed or ended up in the water.

The same leaves are now the carbon feedstock of our layers, balanced against the wet kitchen waste.

The ratio we currently work with is roughly three parts leaves to one part kitchen waste, by volume.
